To enroll a student in a junior high or high school in the St. Tammany Parish public school system, you will need the following:
      • a certified birth certificate
      • a Social Security Card
      • proof of residence
      • notarized proof of custody if the child
      • is not living with a natural parent
      • a White Louisiana Health Card
[The health card must be from a local doctor, the St. Tammany Parish Health Unit, or a military base medical department. It ensures that the child has the necessary inoculations to enter school. If you wish to know the up-to-date list of required inoculations, call the numbers listed below.]

All of the above must be taken to the School Board office in Slidell or Covington so the student can be assigned to the appropriate school.
To enroll a student in an elementary or middle school all of the above information is also necessary. However, elementary and middle school students register directly with the school serving the community in which they live.
